Art Licks Weekend 2017

The Art Licks Weekend festival collaborates with artist-led spaces and independent projects across London to celebrate the contribution early career artists and curators make to the Capital. To mark its fifth anniversary, the festival is themed for the first time with the title: Finding Solutions.

In recent years, the situation for artists and creative practitioners in London has become increasingly difficult. Rents and costs have rocketed, studio provision plummeted and funding has been severely cut. In these situations it is important to find positive solutions and supportive communities, which we hope to highlight through the festival programme.

For 2017, the Art Licks Weekend considers the current creative climate in London and explores the different ways artists and curators are working together to continue to make challenging new work, to collaborate and exhibit.

The Art Licks Weekend is free to all.

We hope you enjoy your time at the festival!
